Hello Everyone! My name is Katarina Zambanini, but Katie is just fine.
I’m really excited to be writing to you now, and to have the opportunity
to write to you in the future!
To start off, I
am a sophomore at Penn State Berks. At the moment I’m undecided with my
major, and I’m not sure which I am going to choose. What I do know is
that it will be a major that I can complete all four (or possibly five)
years at Berks! This is because I really love Berks. I love the campus,
the people I’ve met, and the clubs that I’m involved in. Some of those
include Residence Hall Council, Lion Ambassadors, Campus Activities
Board, and the Student Activity Fee Committee. Within these clubs I am
president of Residence Council and the Secretary/Historian of Lion
Ambassadors. I’ve never minded public speaking, it really allows me to
interact and do my best to lead others. Meeting new people and making
new friends is my second favorite thing. My first favorite is smiling!
As corny as that seems, it’s true.
But, when I’m
not running around with all of these wonderful clubs, I really enjoy
spending any free time relaxing! I love when I can spend time with the
ones that are dear to me. My friends, my boyfriend, and my roommate in
particular are the ones that keep me sane. When I’m not with wonderful
people I have ways that I can pass the time. I love watching movies and
wrapping myself up in blankets. Back to the Future is one of my favorite
movies, along with Pitch Perfect. I absolutely adore music! My playlist
has way too many Beatles songs and 80’s songs. I especially love
singing, and I’m fortunate enough to have the opportunity to sing at my
church very frequently. Another love of mine is photography. I feel at
home when I have a camera in my hand, and I spend a lot of my time
behind the lens.
I’m really excited to have this opportunity, and can’t wait to see what I can write for you! Have a fantastic day- WE ARE!

Currently, I am a Lion Ambassador, a Peer Mentor, and the Treasurer for Christian Student Fellowship. In August, I also served as an Orientation Leader, which was a ton of fun! I love having a presence on campus. One of the best benefits from being involved on a small campus, is seeing someone that you know wherever you are on campus - I love that!
My awesome group

I’m really involved on campus–I like to think of myself as both a full-time student and full-time student leader. This year, I am serving as the Lion Ambassador President (this is the group on campus that gives tours, helps with open houses and visitation programs, and lends a hand wherever needed really).

wonderful LA family!

Spring Week
Carnival 2013! I was really excited to throw the ball at the
dunk tank to raise money for Camp Out for Hunger! |
My “Pink Ladies” giving our best Nittany Lion fierce pose! These girls helped me run orientation but most importantly survive it! |
Whether it was celebrating surviving the SGA Awards Banquet (which was a huge part of my campus life internship) with the current SGA President, Devin Heckman... |
...creating display cases that are pretty wonderful |
...or successfully planning an outdoor movie, my internships have provided lots of high points in my college career! These are just a few of my favorite photos! |

In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, listening to music (and finding new music), watching Disney movies, reading books (my personal favorite has always been The Great Gatsby … it’s finally cool to say that now), napping, being outside, and helping in the community as much as possible! I’m also a sports junky… it’s a thing!
I love to laugh and make others laugh! After I graduate in May, I hope to attend graduate school for Student Affairs and work in a college setting one day! That’s me in a nutshell! I’m zany, passionate, and love all that my college career has allowed me to experience! I’m eager to see what my Senior Year has in store for me and I can’t wait to share it with you all!
